Main Steel Columns Installed at Blanco Event Center in Silicon Valley

 In Construction

It was an exciting Saturday at San Pedro Square in downtown San Jose as San Pedro Street was closed for the day as cranes brought in giant steel columns and trusses that form the ceiling and roof structure for the Great Room and Roof Top event areas. In August the next street closure will take place as the steel for the Mezzanine reception and breakout area as well as the elevators get delivered. Once complete (hopefully this Fall!), Blanco will have multiple meeting spaces both indoors and outside including a great rooftop area that will be perfect for wedding ceremonies and parties.

Blanco’s occupancy is just over 400 based on how the spaces are used and all of the spaces are open without any obstructing columns or features so planners are open to configure and decorate as they wish. If you would like to visit the venue during construction or get on the list of people interested in attending pre-opening functions, use the form on the site to let us know.
